Woman in fight for life A WOMAN from Scarborough is fighting for her life in a specialist hospital unit after a mystery incident. She was found inside the Northlea Holiday Flats, in North Marine Road, with head injuries and taken to Scarborough Hospital before being transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary.

"Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident and would ask anyone who saw any disturbance in the area of North Marine Road and the cricket ground during the evening of Monday September 25 and early hours of Tuesday September 26 to contact 0845 6060247 and ask for CID."

A resident in North Marine Road, who did not wish to be named, said she had seen a police van outside the property. She said: "I wondered what was going on because there was quite a few police vans at these properties. It seems to be a trouble spot."
