Editor's note: The subject matter is obvious, but it is worth repeating that this column deals - often explicitly - with issues of relationships and sexuality. Reader discretion is strongly advised and we again underline that this column is not suitable for children.

She's part of a thriving subculture of sexual hedonists who believe there is no such thing as a bedroom transgression - unless, of course, punishment is your pleasure.

"Sometimes my boyfriend dresses up as a priest and makes me say my penance," says the dark-haired vixen, revealing the custom-made fangs she attaches to her incisors.

Raised in the small town of Cold Lake by her staunchly Catholic grandmother, Tourangeau was known as the "wild girl" mothers considered a bad influence on their daughters.

She sported baseball T-shirts, had bleached, spiked hair, wore chains and black nail polish and vented her teenage angst to the music of Nine-Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Prodigy.

"Sex outside of marriage was bad, masturbation was a sin. I still did it, of course, but the next day I didn't want to look at anybody, and I prayed to God for forgiveness," Tourangeau recalls.

When she did find love, at 18, she learned a valuable lesson the hard way, as teenagers often do, about the importance of identity and being true to yourself.

Missionary position was for the missionaries. She was an animal in the wild, and the only bonds she would let shackle her were physical not mental: being handcuffed to the bedpost was a personal favourite.

That's how this gothic girl, now a little older, more restless and every bit as experimental, discovered the fetishes she enjoys today with her current boyfriend.

Rubber, bondage, wigs, stilettos, mascots (she likes hugging them), being in the bath with her clothes on, pretending in the throes of passion that she's an alien, an animal, cheating on her boyfriend, or that she's doing it with her brother, father or even Jesus.

"It's a very intimate act because you're attaching yourself to a person and drawing his energy into your body. It's not only erotic, it's an addiction, like anything else. And it's a luxury drink, because you can't always get it."

The fangs, her pale complexion, the devilish-red contacts she likes to wear out to New City Likwid Lounge, her favourite haunt, and her thirst for blood all seem to point in one direction.

As for her vamped-up image, she says she's an aspiring goth model. She does freelance work and has already been asked to join the California agency, Wilhemina.
